Everyday chores as performed in an organization which follow strategic steps, if performed manually, can be erred. That’s where automation system finds their inroads to reach out. One of such chores performed widely and on a daily basis is the act of tracking the tasks and actions. The website created implements a task tracking interface for employees so that they can easily track their tasks and actions for the projects assigned to them.

Protein-RNA interactions play a key role in a number of biological processes, such as protein synthesis, mRNA processing, mRNA assembly, ribosome function, and eukaryotic spliceosomes. As a result, a reliable identification of RNA-binding site of a protein is important for functional annotation and site-directed mutagenesis.

Aligning multiple biological sequences such as protein sequences or DNA/RNA sequences is a fundamental task in bioinformatics and sequence analysis. Studying these alignments provides scientists with information needed to predict the sequences’ structures, determine the evolutionary relationships between them, or discover drug-like compounds that can bind to the sequences. Unfortunately, multiple sequence alignment (MSA) is NP-complete. In addition, the lack of a reliable scoring method makes it harder to align the sequences reliably and to evaluate the alignment outcomes.

“Cloud” is a common metaphor for an Internet-accessible infrastructure (e.g. data storage and computing hardware) which is hidden from users. Cloud Computing makes data truly mobile, allowing a user to simply access a chosen cloud with any Internet-accessible device. In Cloud Computing, IT-related capabilities are provided as services, accessible without requiring detailed knowledge of the underlying technology. Thus, many mature technologies are used as components in Cloud Computing, but still there are many unresolved and open problems.

NeuronBank is a web-based tool for cataloging, searching, and analyzing neuronal circuitry. The objective of this master's project is to upgrade NeuronBank v1.0, which was built on Sun Studio, to NeuronBank v1.5, which is developed on NetBeans to make use of the new development packages provided by the environment and to fix bugs existing in the old version.
