Wildfires have significant impacts on both ecosystems and human society, from burning local plants, reducing species diversity, and destroying organic nutrients to causing flash floods, leading to climate change, and causing massive losses of natural forest resources, endangered species, property, and even human lives. To effectively manage wildfires, simulation models are used to study and predict wildfire spread. The accuracy of wildfire spread simulations depends on many factors, including GIS data, fuel data, weather data, and high-fidelity wildfire behavior models.
