The scope of the project is to visualize 3D surface tomography data obtained from volcano-affected areas. An Android application has been created that loads tomography data of a specific format from the SD card of mobile phones running Android. A 3D surface plot is built from the data. Further, the application allows the user to rotate the surface, perform zoom-in and zoom-out operations, display a layered/sliced view of the surface by rendering specific regions of the surface, and customize different parts of the surface via a user-configurable range of values and their corresponding colors from a color palette. Also, useful functions such as reset, refresh, and file-loading capabilities have been added to provide flexibility to the end user in visualizing the affected region. The application was developed in Java and uses the Android OpenGL Library.
