Course Content: Introduction to basic concepts and analysis of data representation and associated algorithms, including lists, stacks, queues, trees, hashing, heaps, graphs, searching and sorting, (1999- 2000 GSU catalog description).

The above topics are covered in the Text book by Chapters;

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9.

Prerequisites: CSc 2311 Principles of programming II and Math 2211 Calculus of one variable I.

Withdrawals: The last day for regular withdrawal is Wednesday, July 7, 2000.

Requirements: Students are expected to attend all classes. Regular completion of all assignments, quizzes and tests is absolutely essential to succeed in this course.

Grading The course grade will be derived from quizzes (1/3), assignments (1/3), and a final exam (1/3).

Other policy: · Make-up’s or missed deadlines must be coordinated prior, and are allowed only at the discretion of the instructor.

· All material submitted for grade must be the student’s own work.

· Collaboration is allowed prior to preparation of actual material that is submitted for grade..
