Short Bio
Zejin Ding is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science, Georgia State University, supervised by Prof. Yan-Qing Zhang. Before joining GSU, he received a B.S degree and a M.S degree in Computer Science in July 2003 and April 2006, respectively, both from Beijing Jiaotong University (previously named Northern Jiaotong University), Beijing, China. His research interests include computational intelligence, bioinformatics, machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval. Zejin Ding is a student member of IEEE and IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS), and China Computer Federation (CCF). He also had intern experiences in IT industry. In Summer 2008, he worked with TMSN group in Microsoft Research, focusing on ranking problems. Before that, he interned the Chinese search engine company: Baidu.Com in Summer 2005 and then worked as full-time software engineer in April-July 2006.

Computational intelligence, bioinformatics, machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval.
