  • Aug. 2006 - now    Graduate Research Assistant, Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA.
    • Learned the application of machine learning methods(SVM, Neural Networks, Association Rule, and Genetic Algorithm, etc) on Bioinformatics
    • Analyzed datasets with huge number of features and small samples to classify diseases
    • Designed an new genetic clustering algorithm with dynamic length of chromosomes

    • Natural Science Foundation Project: Research of Partitional Clustering Algorithms
    • Analyzed clustering algorithms, especially partitional and newest clustering algorithms
    • Summarized the essence of a clustering algorithm and its distribution assumption
    • Discovered the relationship of some clustering algorithms with Occam's razor Theory
    • Conducted experiments to test the theoretical result by using MATLAB, wrote part of Technical Report
