Homework 2 CSc 1010

Due: Wednesday, September 8, 1999

Using the two files provided on a diskette in class (thepage.html and constructdude.gif), create a personal Web page.

The idea is to modify (part of what is known as software maintenance) the first file above (thepage.html) by saving a copy of it (renamed!) from which changes can be made. The goal is to be creative and to employ some originality in both the content and style of this new page. For example, use your name as a title and describe yourself in any fashion that you choose. Obviously, your academic activities should be included. You are free to add other images, use the one listed above (the construction worker), or have no images.

Some suggestions of changes that can be incorporated:

1. Change the background color;

2. Change the font colors;

3. Change the format (i.e., spacing, page layout, composition using lists, etc.);

4. Put your email address on the page;

5. Put links to other Web pages that may be of interest to you; or

6. Add other text, images, sound, video, animation, etc. as appropriate.

and submit it to your instructor on the diskette you were given.
