Homework 5 CSc 1010

Due: Wednesday, October 20, 1999

Using the Excel spreadsheet file provided on your diskette (sample.xls), add the following additional features.

1. Find the average for each quiz, homework, extra (quiz), and final/project;

2. Compute each student's homework average;

3. Compute each student's quiz average in the following way - include quizzes 1, 2, and 3

together with the larger value between Quiz 4 and the extra (quiz);

4. Find each student's course average which counts equal weight to quizes, homework, and final/project (i.e.; one-third each); and

5. For each quiz and homework, find the minimum, maximum, mean (average), median,

and mode.

Submit the modified file to your instructor on your diskette.
