Ph.D. (Bioinformatics Concentration) Degree Requirements

Requirements for the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science (Bioinformatics Concentration) include finishing any necessary foundation coursework and completing 48 hours of graduate-level coursework, including three bioinformatics courses, three biology courses, one chemistry course, and a biostatistics course. In addition, students must go through a qualifying process, form a dissertation committee, and pass a candidacy examination. Finally, each student must complete and defend a dissertation.
